What to do when receiving "Controller Disconnect" message?

If you receive a "Controller Disconnect" message there are different solutions depending on your platform.

For Steam and Epic:

You may not receive a message but in the event a controller disconnects, then the game will automatically switch to the keyboard/mouse default. You can reconnect your controller or continue to play using the keyboard/mouse set up.

For Xbox:
You will see the following pop-up message:

You will need to connect the controller again in order to continue playing.

For PS5: 

You will see the following pop-up message:

You will need to connect the controller again in order to continue playing.
